Dates: 21st October - 23th October, 2022
Location: Dinorwic Quarry, Llanberis, Wales
Our first advanced trip of the year organised by our lovely Outdoor Officers Seb and Helen Norman took us to a favourite spot of climbing legend Johnny Dawes.
Featuring some simply beautiful slate slab it was an incredible experience despite the harsh Welsh weather common this time of the year.
Dinorwic quarry is known for being hard, technical and (as we all quickly found out) runout. Despite this we can also safely say the trip was an escapade will not soon forget
The second day of climbing was unfortunately far wetter than the first and we found our thrills at The Boardroom Climbing centre in Chester where we spend the day bouldering and leading as well as trying out their impressive Psicobloc
All in all, if you ever find yourself with a free weekend and want to pass the time climbing we highly suggest grabbing a few mates and heading for North Wales (following all the appropriate safety measures and whilst being respectful of course)
